Town of Cicero Police Department
Our Cicero Police Department now has a MedReturn prescription drug collection unit to allow Cicero residents to drop off unused or expired prescription drugs. Providing this service has proved effective throughout the country in reducing inappropriate access to drugs and we are proud to offer this service to residents that was funded by the Town by the Kinney Drugs Foundation.
Using the MedReturn Service:
Audience: Town of Cicero residents ONLY
Acceptable Items: Unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Procedure: Resident to drop the packaged items into the MedReturn unit or sharps collection container. No paperwork, no questions asked. (See below for Homebound Senior Procedure.)
Hours of Operation: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Location: Cicero Police Department (located behind Town Hall)
Homebound Senior Procedure:
Audience: Town of Cicero senior citizens who are homebound
Procedure: Call 699-3677, ext. 10, during hours of operation (above). to request a pickup. A Cicero Police officer will call the resident to confirm a pickup time, normally within two hours. If the officer is delayed, the resident will be notified of an alternate pickup time
As of June 14, 2017, The Town of Cicero Police Department will no longer be accepting needles of any kind (used or unused). The grant program that allowed us to do this has expired. Sorry for the inconvenience.
